
This was the first album since moving onto a PC with Cubase SX. A collection of 30 tunes written over 3 years, Polymath contains many unfinished works and untidy moments, but it also has some good tunes and captures the vibe of the time.
A mixture of hardware and software, but characterised by lots of Jupiter 6, Matrix, Sixtrak, DX7, and other vintage synths and effects; a fair bit of keyboard playing, acid sequences, glitchy programming, mashed audio, lots sounds from my sample library of synths and drum machines, and lots of sound recordings and vocal samples, all sorts of stuff…
